The Korea Herald
The Korea Herald is an English-language daily national newspaper based in Seoul, South Korea. It publishes six days a week; there is no Sunday edition. It has a reported circulation of about 35,000, which is the highest circulation of all English-language dailies in South Korea (based on 2009 figures quotes in this article by The Korea Herald).
I spent four weeks (one of which was significantly shortened by a three-day holiday for Lunar New Year) working at The Korea Herald as an intern reporter for the ‘People’ (tri-weekly) and ‘Expat Living’ (weekly) sections from 24 Jan to 18 Feb, 2011. For reflections on my time as an intern in South Korea, please take a look at the University of Sydney blog for media interns, Parallax.
