The Korea Herald

The Korea Herald is an English-language daily national newspaper based in Seoul, South Korea. It publishes six days a week; there is no Sunday edition. It has a reported circulation of about 35,000, which is the highest circulation of all English-language dailies in South Korea (based on 2009 figures quotes in this article by The Korea Herald).

I spent four weeks (one of which was significantly shortened by a three-day holiday for Lunar New Year) working at The Korea Herald as an intern reporter for the ‘People’ (tri-weekly) and ‘Expat Living’ (weekly) sections from 24 Jan to 18 Feb, 2011. For reflections on my time as an intern in South Korea, please take a look at the University of Sydney blog for media interns, Parallax.

The Sydney Morning Herald

Over the 2010-11 summer I spent six weeks interning as a general reporter for the Sydney Morning Herald from 29 Nov, 2010 to 7 Jan, 2011. This allowed me the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of articles working with other reporters, whilst also having a number of my own articles published.

Please see this comprehensive list of articles (authored or co-authored by myself) which were published online at smh.com.au. A selection of my work has also been provided below.

During my time with SMH, I was fortunate enough to be syndicated in other Fairfax publications, both online and in print. Thanks to my unique name, a simple google search will give you an idea of whereabouts you might find my articles.
